We Moved

We moved into our brand new house in September. We were out growing our
house and started looking for a new house at the beginning of 2005. We
found a house that both of us (Carrie and Kris) liked. It must have been a
full moon that night. So we bought it. We love our new house (and
three car garage). Above is a picture of it in progress.
We spent many weekends on our boat this summer. It is a great little
boat for skiing and tubing. Carrie loads it up in the morning with lunch
and beer. We spent the scorching summer heat on "Reboot" (name of the
boat). Just like you reboot a computer, you have to reboot yourself and
enjoy the many great lakes.
Our Hero - Amanda
Amanda is serving our country in the Iraqi war. She is a Navy medical
corpman serving with a Marine unit. We are proud of Amanda and all our other soldiers
seeking
peace and justice.
Merry Christmas
2002
The Ivicic family, Kris, Noah and Carrie, would like to wish you a very Merry
Christmas and Happy New Year.
Noah Arrives
Noah entered the world in 2002.
He is 21 inches long and weighs 8 pounds 10 ounces.
Carrie and I are the proud parents of baby Noah. Mom and baby are doing
fine. They were in the hospital for four days recovering from the
emergency c-section. Mom was in labor for twenty four hours and due to
cord complications an emergency c-section had to be done. It was very
hectic during that time and we are very thankful for the great nurses and doctor
that Carrie had. Noah has a good appetite and wants mom's milk
every three to four hours.
Thank You Lord for a beautiful baby boy. We are a very happy family.
Great News
We are sooo happy to announce that we are expecting our first baby! I
(Kris) know that it is a boy but Carrie has her doubts. She keeps saying
that it is a girl. The baby is due on Kris' Mom's birthday, August 2nd.
We are not going to find out whether the baby is a boy or girl. We both
want it to be a mystery. Grandma Linda is dying to find out... but she
will have to wait. Grandma Lisa is busy trying to find baby furniture for
us. Cousin Lexie will have a companion to grow up with and play with.
2001 Holidays
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of our family, friends and visitors. We pray for peace and celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ!
Amanda Graduates
Amanda, the youngest child of Lisa and Pete graduated from high school.
Congratulations! She graduated on a beautiful sunny Florida day. In
high school she played soccer, was a cheer leader, and a GREAT student.
We are proud of you Amanda!
Carrie
The Spotlight Award goes to Carrie. She is my wife and my best
friend. Words cannot describe my feelings for her. I fell in love
with her the very first day that I met her.
We met while working together in Florida. And in August we will be
married two years. She makes me laugh and gives me the best advice.
I love You CJ!
2001 Happy New Year 2001
And the Spot Light goes to.. although very late .. our new house. We
moved from Massachusetts to Illinois in August. Here is a late December
2000 picture, showing all the snow that we have received. We got a total
38 inches. I was shoveling twice a week! Anyone out there want to
help? I don't own a snow blower but boy do I wish I did. The Home
Depot is completely sold out of snow blowers. But let me quote Linda
(Carrie's mom), "that is something that you should have bought in
October." Thanks Mom!
Carrie found this house with her mom in the newspaper by owner and we were
lucky enough to buy it. The new house is great, the best is that we are
closer to Carrie's family. Her mom is about three miles away, her sister
about 15, and grandmother also about 15. The point is that we are able to
spend a lot of quality time with the family.
Alexandria Rose was born on March 8 at 9:58 AM Central
time. She weighs 7 lbs. 14 oz. and is 21 inches long. Mom is doing
fine after a good 13 hours of labor!!! Jennie's quote: "It was easier
than I thought." We'll add pictures soon!
Lexie - Bob & Jennie's
little Angel
Baby Lexie is scheduled on a flight from Jennie to burbs of Chicago on March 4th.
Bob and Jennie are expecting a girl and her name is Alexandria Rose. They have redecorated her room.. totally pink, go figure. What if the ultrasound was wrong? Do boys like pink, too? The picture you see above is Lexie's crib. Jennie made the puffy letters for her bed...domestic, isn't she? I guess that motherly instinct just kicks
in.
Ryan - Jewel's Star Employee
After finishing his sophomore year in high school, Ryan's parents advised (told) him to get a job (or get out). We think Mom's exact
words were, "Ryan, if you want to drive at all this year, you better get
out there and get a job. Money doesn't grow on trees, you know and
insurance isn't cheap either." Well, Ryan knew full well after seeing
Carrie, Jennifer and John go through the same trauma, that he'd have to break
down and get a job. Ryan hit the pavement, looking high and low for that
career, character building job. The Chicago Bulls found their water boy,
the Cubs found their bat boy and Jewel found Ryan. He found his dream job
at the local super market. Ryan started his first back-breaking job
working as part of the front end team at Jewel. The photo
above shows him proudly displaying his first paycheck. Mom and Dad think
he put his first paycheck in the bank. Everyone else knows that he spent
it on movies, ice cream and his women. Although he says of his job,
"It's boring" ,he really appreciates the effort of a job well
done.
July - Aug 1999 (first Spot Light)
Our friends Dan and Gwen recently had a beautiful baby boy, Jacob. They live
in the suburbs of Chicago. Jacob was born in April 1999. Congratulations!
